Exchange application

What should I do if I wish to make a mobility stay in the Universitat Rovira i Virgili?

Your home university must inform us that you have been selected as an exchange student to come to study at the URV. Then you will receive an email from mobility.in(ELIMINAR)@urv.cat where we will indicate various instructions, among which you will find the following procedures to carry out:

Step 1 - Application

This is the most important step you have to do. We will ask you for a series of information and documentation to be able to officially admit you in the URV. You must complete the on-line application within the following registration deadlines:
  • First semester / Full academic year students: from 1st April to 1st June 2024
  • Second semester students: from 1st April to 1st November 2024

Required documentation:

Besides a series of personal information, you will also have to attach to your application these documents:

  • Scanned copy of your valid identity card or passport. Passport will be compulsory for students applying for a visa.
  • A passport format coloured photograph.
  • Learning agreement with the subjects you wish to study at the URV under the Erasmus+ programme, signed by you and signed and stamped by your home university. For students coming under Erasmus+ Training programme, you should use the model of training agreement. Find attached the models of learning/training agreement on the right.
  • Academic transcript of records.
  • Scanned copy of your European Health Insurance Card (compulsory for EU citizens) and/or a copy of a private accidents insurance (compulsory for non-EU citizens). You can purchase the insurance that the URV offers here: Ergo Seguros. We suggest you to wait for the definitive acceptance from the URV before buying an insurance. In the meanwhile, you can upload a statement in the on-line application explaining that you will get a complete insurance that will cover the whole period of your mobility stay in Spain.

Useful information about the Learning/Training agreement

Choose the subjects that you wish to study at the URV and introduce them in a learning agreement with the help of the academic coordinator at your home university. Depending on the type of mobility programme to which you belong, you will have to select one of the following models of learning agreement (although you can also use the model of learning agreement that your university provides you):

Models available in the section on the right "Useful documentation":

- Learning agreement for Erasmus+ studies and Erasmus + International studies

- Learning agreement for MOU studies and training

- Training agreement for Erasmus+ training

How to formalize your Learning/Training Agreement:

  1. Choose a model of learning agreement and intoduce in the document your personal data. Then you will have to include the subjects you will study in the URV and the validated corresponding subjects from your home university. You can consult the available subjects at the URV here. In case of internships, contact your supervisor at the URV, who will complete the information regarding the tasks you will develop, schedules and dates of the internship.

  2. Sign the document and ask your academic coordinator at your home university to sign and seal it.

  3. Attach it to your on-line registration.

  4. When you arrive at the URV, your mobility coordinator must sign and seal the document and formalize the registration in the secretary. If you need the document back signed before you arrive at the URV, you will have to request the signature to your URV academic coordinator.

Now you have all the information to start your on-line application:

    Step 2 - Admission

Once you have completed the registration and have attached all the requested documents correctly, you must send an e-mail to mobility.in(ELIMINAR)@urv.cat indicating that you have completed the registration. Then, we will review the submitted documentation and send it to your URV academic coordinator to review it and give us your official acceptance. Then, we will prepare an acceptance letter and send it by e-mail and post (only to students who need to apply for a visa to enter Spain, that is, non-EU students.)

Step 3 - Preparing your arrival

Check the MOBILITY STUDENT GUIDE in order to get general information for prospective international students.

The International Center team organizes welcome meetings every semester for all mobility students. When the beginning of the semester is approaching, we will send you an e-mail where you will see the possible dates of the welcome meetings that we have organized, please confirm your attendance to one of them. This course, given the exceptional security measures that the University is adopting, there will be a unique welcome meeting that will be heald online. Do not forget to check your e-mail -with which you have registered with the URV- frequently, as we will contact you through this e-mail address.

    Step 4 - Request a URV Mentor

We will also send you an email asking if you want us to assign you a URV Mentor.

The URV Mentor Programme is a support and orientation program for international students, run by volunteer students from the URV. Through this Programme, we intend to facilitate the preparation of the arrival of the exchange students at the URV and their incorporation in our city and in our university, helping them to integrate culturally, socially and academically.
