How to enrol in a master's degree step by step

The documentation you have to present depends on where you have studied. Bear in mind the university can request further documents to better assess your academic and professional profile.
Once you have confirmed your pre-registration, you have to upload an electronic copy of the following documents through the online document manager.
You must upload this documentation within 10 days of completing the pre-registration process or by the last the day of the phase. If you do not upload your documents within this deadline, you will be excluded and you will have to repeat the pre-registration process and pay another pre-registration fee.

If have studied at the Rovira i Virgili University:
You have to access the online document manager and upload the following documents:
- Spanish students: there is no need to present your NIF, as the URV will check with the corresponding administration.
- Foreign students from a member state of the European Union: original and photocopy or an attested photocopy of their national identity document issued by their country, passport or Spanish residence card (NIE) and which must not have expired.
- Foreign students from a country outside the European Union: original and photocopy or an attested photocopy of their passport or Spanish residence card (NIE) which must not have expired.
If you are a foreign candidate and you have use other identity documents to pre-register but you must be aware that will need to present the officially required documents in order to complete the registration process and also when you request the issuance of your master’s degree certificate. - Curriculum vitae

If you have studied at a Spanish university:
You have to access the online document manager and upload the following documents:

Bachelor's degree that enables you to access the master's programme. If you do not have the certificate, you can present the receipt confirming that the issuance fee for the certificate have been paid. You do not need to provide this document because we will verify it through the qualifications register of the corresponding ministry. If we cannot verify it, you will be asked to provide the receipt conforming that you have paid the fees for the issuance of the certificate. If you are finishing your studies and have still not obtained the certificate, you can upload the receipt for your registration fees for the current academic year to demonstrate which subjects you still have pending and the number of credits for each one. Please note that to register you must present your Bachelor's degree or the receipt confirming that the issuance fee for the certificate have been paid.

Academic transcript or European Diploma Supplement* listing the subjects studied, grades and number of hours/credits for each of them as well as the GPA (Great Point Average) of the subjects.

Once admitted on academic grounds, you will have to present originals or attested copies of the above-listed documents (except the Personal Academic Transcript or the European Supplement and CV) to the Campus Secretariat for Academic Management.
If you have studied at a foreign university:
You have to access the online document manager and upload the following documents.
- Spanish students: there is no need to present your NIF, as the URV will check with the corresponding administration.
- Foreign students from a member state of the European Union: original and photocopy or an attested photocopy of their national identity document issued by their country, passport or Spanish residence (NIE) and which must not have expired.

If you are in the process of completing your studies, but you still do not have your bachelor's degree certificate, you can upload a document from your university confirming that you will finish your studies and will obtain your degree certificate. Please note that to register you must present your Bachelor's degree or the receipt confirming that the issuance fee for the certificate have been paid.
- Academic transcript or European Diploma Supplement* listing the subjects studied, grades and number of hours/credits for each of them. It must also contain information about the grading system applied as well as the GPA.
- Curriculum vitae

During the pre-registration process there is no need for the documents to be legalized or officially translated. Before you complete your registration, however, your documents must be legalized and translated, so you should consult the Requirements for foreign documents as soon as possible.
Once your application has received academic approval and you have been admitted you must present either the original versions and photocopies or attested photocopies of the previous documents (except the Personal Academic Transcript or the European Supplement and CV) to the Campus Secretariat for Academic Management.

*The European Diploma Supplement (EDS) is a document issued by higher education institutions within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), that provides information about the grading system used for your university qualification and the access that your qualification provides to master's programmes. If your qualification has a EDS, you should present it because it speeds up the process of checking your admission documents by acting as both your academic transcript. Has your degree been officially recognised (homologación) by the Spanish Ministry?
Homologation is the means by which the Spanish State officially recognises higher education qualifications obtained in other countries. Therefore, if you had your qualification officially recognised, you must present the corresponding certificate, in addition to the other documentation required.
