Ethics in the Research and Innovation of Universitat Rovira i Virgili
All Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) activities at Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) have to respect fundamental ethical principles, including those set forth in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union and the pertinent ethical standards. Among these principles are the need to guarantee freedom of research and the importance of protecting the physical and moral integrity of people and the wellbeing of animals.
Ethics is important in all areas of RDI. Informed consent and confidentiality are as important in a sociological study as in clinical research.
