THE URV'S EXTENDED CAMPUS
The URV's Extended Campus is a strategic project that is part of the University's third mission: that is to say, the mission supporting the institutions and agents driving the development of the region, in all its dimensions, from the most socio-cultural to the most socio-economic.
The project aims to understand the needs of all the southern regions provide them with knowledge and contribute to their progress setting up a network of branches throughout the area. A person in charge, a professional who is familiar with the local social and economic fabric.
The URV's Extensive Campus has the support of the town councils, which host the branches and make municipal premises available so that the University can organise the activities. It also has funding from the Tarragona Provincial Council. The Ramon Muntaner Institute also plays a major role in facilitating contact between the University, the local councils and the study centres.
Salou
Since its inception at the end of 2007, the URV's Extended Campus in Salou has brough together a wide range of users, from URV students and alumni, professionals, students and secondary school teachers, to institutions, cultural groups, companies and members of associations.
Beyond being a driving force for activities of local interest and disseminating social values, The project, aims to make the URV's potential, services and university activities available on a local level and understand and respond to local needs.

Cambrils
This coastal branch aims to be a bridge that links Cambrils to the URV, the public university of the region. The mainstays of Extended Campus - already well-established - are the same as ever: lectures of undoubted academic stature, prestigious speakers and teamwork with the cultural institutions in our city. The cornerstones of the whole project are education or science.

Amposta
The branch of the URV's Extended Campus in Amposta was founded in 2008, by the University and the Town Council, with the intention of assisting in knowledge-based development. Since 2011, the branch has been managed and directed by the Museum of the Terres de l'Ebre – inaugurated in 2011 after the Regional Museum of El Montsià has been renovated - and since then new activities and all sorts of cultural proposals have been offered. A regular and highly varied programme has now been set up for all types of audiences.

La Sénia
The URV's Extended Campus in La Sénia was founded in 2008 as a result of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) and the La Sénia Town Council, working together to bring the public university into contact with El Montsià and promote knowledge. Since mid-2009, it has been managed by the Centre for Seniencs Studies, the result of the URV's collaboration with the Ramon Muntaner Institute, a private foundation for Catalan-speaking Study Centres.

Santa Coloma de Queralt
The branch of the URV's Extended Campus in Santa Coloma de Queralt is, the result of the joint work of the URV and the town council. It aims to make the URV's potential, services and activities available to the town.
As a cultural agent in synergy with local associations and institutions, it works to put knowledge at the service of society. It is managed by the Queralt Foundation.

Valls
The branch of the URV's Extended Campus in Valls was set up in 2008 with the intention of bringing the University to the town and promoting knowledge.
After the City Council and the URV signed the agreement in February 2009, the branch began its activity. Over the years it has organised a wide variety of activities and events in areas such as training and professional guidance, business and entrepreneurship, new technologies, the dissemination of culture and the heritage, social inclusion, cooperation, health and well-being. These activities are the result of permanent contact with local institutions, to detect needs and support their demands and action projects.

Móra d'Ebre
The branch of the URV's Extended Campus, thanks to an understanding with City Council, has been active in Móra d'Ebre since the end of 2009. Over the years, in conjunction with local institutions and agents, it has organised cultural activities in the region of the Ribera d'Ebre for a varied audience.

Torredembarra
The branch of the URV's Extended Campus in Torredembarra was founded on 3 February 2010, the URV and the City Council has signed a collaboration agreement. Since then it has been managed by the Sinibald de Mas Study Centre, a cultural institution founded in 1983. Undoubtedly, brings the university closer into the town and the town into the university.

La Pobla de Mafumet
The URV's Extended Campus in La Pobla de Mafumet was set up in the academic year 2010-2011. So that the Council and the University could work together on organizing a variety of cultural activities.
Since 2017, the branch has been managed by the La Corriola Teatre group and a variety of cultural events have been scheduled on a regular basis at the Casal Cultural.

Tortosa
In May 2010, the Tortosa branch of the URV's Extended Campus in Tortosa was set up, under the umbrella of the University Campus of Les Terres de l'Ebre. For this reason, the daily activity of this new branch is clearly culturally focused, and aims to support the programme that is currently in force. To this end, it hopes to be a positive addition to cultural activity in Tortosa and the surrounding areas.

Tarragona
The Tarragona branch of the URV's Extended Campus rose out of the city council desire to include the university in the daily activity of the city’s civic centres: Bonavista, Part Alta, Sant Pere i Sant Pau, Sant Salvador, Torreforta and Llevant.
This collaboration should reinforce the links between the University and its immediate environment from a more social and public point of view.
The daily activity of the branch is carried out in six sub-branches, which are to the six civic centres that currently exist in Tarragona.

Reus
In June 2010, the Reus branch of the URV's Extended Campus in was launched. It is structured somewhat differently to other branches, because it is connected to the Reus Centre de Lectura, one of the country’s leading cultural institutions. The fact that the branch is managed by this emblematic institution founded in 1859 helps to disseminate the many activities carried out by the university and to unify efforts that have a positive impact on the cultural programming of the town.

Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant
The URV's Extended Campus was launched in April 2012 as a result of the efforts made by the Town Council, firmly committed to making the local university available to the population and generating greater knowledge based development.

Montblanc-Conca de Barberà
The Montblanc branch of the URV's ExtendedCampus, was brought into being the Regional Council of La Conca de Barberà and the URV. It is the only branch of the Extended Campus that covers a whole region and not just a town or city.
The main objective is to understand the needs of the region and try to respond to them, firstly by acting as a bridge between the URV and the local socio-economic fabric and the administrations; secondly by making the URV's services and activities available to the local people and finally, by helping to transfer the knowledge generated at the URV to the region as a whole.

Falset
In May 2022, the Falset Castle Regional Museum was inaugurated as the branch of the URV's Extended Campus project in Falset.
In practice, the new branch in Falset will work closely with the URV and local authorities and institutions in order to engage in joint activities.

El Vendrell
In 2023, the El Vendrell branch of the URV's Extended Campus project was set up, the sixteenth. Its responds our institution’s interest in scheduling a wide range of cultural activities in the town and being present in all aspects of day-to-day life, from its base at the Baix Penedès Campus.
