Call of the public competition for the contracting of 3 Research Staff
The resolution of the Rector of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, dated 23 April, announces a call for applications for three distinguished researcher positions (article 23 of Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation), that is, one senior position and two junior positions, in application of the Resolution dated 28 March 2019 of the General Secretary of Universities, which makes public the definitive list of grants awarded during the first phase of the Beatriz Galindo Programme, corresponding to the call for applications published by Order ECD/365/2019, of 23 March.
Object
Awarding of Beatriz Galindo grants to the Universities, in a public competition, for attracting talented researchers who have developed most of their professional career abroad (teaching and research experience abroad) and encouraging the recruitment and training of human capital Research and their mobility in sectors of strategic national interest, and promoting the quality and competitiveness of teaching and Research staff of the Spanish Universities.
To support the consolidation of the existing Campus of International Excellence, the grant assignment will consider the connexion between the teaching project of the researcher and the aim of the Campus of International Excellence.

The Regulations governing the contracting of research personnel to provide work or service in the execution of specific technical or research projects approved by the Governing Council 08 July 2005 and subsequently amended.
Modalities of the grant
- Beatriz Galindo Senior grant:
The Professor and/or Researcher has to prove a minimum of 7 year of teaching and/or Research experience abroad from the moment they obtained their PhD degree.
- Beatriz Galindo Junior grant:
The Professor and/or Researcher has to prove a maximum of 7 year of teaching and/or Research experience abroad from the moment they obtained their PhD degree.
Economic endowment
Beatriz Galindo Senior grant: 90.000 €.
Beatriz Galindo Junior grant: 45.000 €.
Including the employer's Social Security contribution corresponding to the professor's and / or researcher's contract.
Phases of the call
1st Phase: Awarding of Beatriz Galindo grants to the public universities.
2nd Phase: Selection of the teaching and / or Research staff and execution of a contract as an 'Investigador Distinguido' (distinguished researcher).

According to the article 15 of Order ECD/365/2018, of 23 March, the deadline for submission of applications will be extended from April 24, 2019 from 8h to May 24, 2019 until 17h (official time in Spain).
