Lluís Barraquer i Bordas

Lluís Barraquer is a neurologist who was born in Barcelona in 1923. He was made an Honorary Doctor on 30 October 2003 after being nominated by the Department of Medicine and Surgery. He was sponsored by the neurologist and lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Josep Maria Olivé, who, in his presentation, emphasized the fact that Lluís Barraquer has been a mainstay in the development of neuropsychology in Catalonia and in the Spanish State.

This distinguished person is an honorary member of the neurology societies of some fifteen countries around the world, as well as being an honorary member and a member of merit of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, and a permanent member of the Catalan Royal Academy of Medicine.
