Quality in research

The University's policy regarding quality is to continue moving forward, as set out in the URV’s 3rd Strategic Plan for Research and Innovation  approved in November 2024.

The URV works to consolidate the quality assurance of R&D&I activities in its research groups and structures, so that it becomes a recognised a hallmark of the University's commitment to responsible research and innovation.

To guarantee the quality of its research, development, innovation, knowledge and technology transfer activities, the URV designed an R&D&I Quality Management System for its research groups and structures in line with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard. By May 2018, it had certified 24 of its research groups and 5 of its innovation centres, all of them working in the scientific-technical area of knowledge. This quality management system has received a good practice citation from the Telescopi España Observatory of Good Practices in University Management, which is part of the Ibero-American Network of Good Practices in Strategic University Management (Red Iberoamericana de Buenas Prácticas en Dirección Estratégica Universitaria).
