The Office of the Commissioner for Open Government and ICT aims to promote continuous improvements in ICT while prioritizing user satisfaction and aligning its actions with the University's general strategy. It also supervises the Computer and ICT Service and co-chairs the Communication and IT Committee.
Currículum Vitae
Born in Menárguens (La Noguera, Lleida), I have been an associate professor at the URV since 2010. I am also a member of the UNESCO Chair in Data Privacy of the Cybersecurity Research Centre of Catalonia (CYBERCAT) and of the CRISES research group at the URV. I obtained my qualification as a Technical Engineer in Computer Science from the University of Lleida in 1998, my Degree in Computer Science Engineering from the URV in 2000, and my PhD in Computer Science from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2005. My research focuses on the fields of cryptography (cryptographic protocols) and data privacy. I have published over a hundred papers in international journals and book chapters and participated in numerous national and international conferences.
I am co-author of seven patents, four of which are international and have been extended to other countries. I have participated in over 50 research and transfer projects and been the principal researcher from the URV in 22 of them. I am a founding partner of three technology companies that have received various awards.
I have taught on various bachelor's degree and master's degree programmes in Computer Science at the School of Engineering. I have supervised over 125 final degree and final master's projects and directed or co-directed six doctoral theses.
I have been Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Mathematics at the URV since June 2015.
