Bachelor’s thesis - Study on environmental and health impact of high voltage towers in El Pinar neighborhood

  • Summary: This project comes from the 1st Social Projects Marketplace, held at the Faculty of Business and Economics in Reus during the 2014-2015 academic year. The thesis studied the environmental and health impacts of high voltage towers in El Pinar. Specifically, it investigated the effects of the electromagnetic fields generated by the high-voltage power lines that run through this residential area. The student presented the project and explained how it was carried out, its challenges and outcomes. This encouraged the student to reflect during the service learning experience and to consider any given situation in an objective, subjective and analytical way.

Bachelor's thesis - Design of a solar farm in the municipality of Almatret

  • Organisations: Ajuntament d'Almatret i Associació de Micropobles de Catalunya (Almatret Town Council and Catalonia Microtowns Association).
  • Summary: The thesis designed a solar farm in the municipality of Almatret. Its aim was to encourage the development of renewable energies, diversify electricity production, and improve the reliability and efficiency of power grids in rural environments.
