Lorena Tomas Laudo
The area of research and innovation coordinates all the University's research management units, and scientific and technical services.
Curriculum
I was born in Saragossa in 1981 and raised in Andorra de Terol. I graduated in Chemistry from the University of Zaragoza. In late 2008, I completed my PhD in Chemical Sciences at the University of Bath, UK. Subsequently, I started work as a scientific journal editor at the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in Cambridge.
In September 2011, I moved to Tarragona to work as a science communicator at the Catalan Institute of Chemical Research (ICIQ). Subsequently, in January 2014 I accepted the challenge of directing the Department of Research Projects and Grants at the ICIQ. During this time, I also pursued a postgraduate degree in International Cooperation and a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV).
Since January 2023, I have been working as director of the Research and Innovation area of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
I like to work as part of a team, and I regard myself as empathetic and proactive with a vocation for service and the ability to solve problems. I am a positive and communicative, and I like to think strategically.
