URV Festival

Don't miss the URV Festival! On 27 March the whole university community is invited to a party in the Parc de la Ciutat in Tarragona to enjoy a wide variety of activities: an open-air lunch, concerts, a talent show, sports, a DJ contest, bingo, a T-shirt competition, food trucks, stalls, and much more. A really fun day!

The sale of the 5,000 tickets for the party will take place in two rounds:

  • From March 10 to 14 - tickets at €3 (includes wristband and cup) - these tickets are only available for the URV community.
  • From March 14 onwards (if tickets are still available) - tickets at €5 (includes wristband and cup) - an extra ticket can be purchased for someone outside the URV community if you already have a ticket.


Remember that everyone who wants to participate must have a festival ticket.

Traditional fideuà or vegan rice

Free round-trip buses from Campus Terres de l'Ebre, Baix Penedès Campus, and Vilafranca del Penedès Campus. Reserve a seat with your event ticket.

12:45 h - CASTELLER PERFORMANCE BY PATAQUERS

Enjoy a traditional castellers (human towers) performance by Pataquers, URV's colla castellera.

13:00 h - INSTITUTIONAL SPEECHES

Josep Pallarès Marzal, Rector of Universitat Rovira i Virgili, and Rubén Viñuales Elías, Mayor of Tarragona.

13:40 - 15:30 h - DJ SHOW BY PD PELACANYES

The DJ duo PD Pelacanyes, winners of the 2024 Festa Major DJ contest, will bring music, fun, and an amazing show. Don't miss it!

14:00 h - COMMUNITY LUNCH

Enjoy a plate of traditional fideuà or vegan rice (suitable for celiacs and seafood allergies*) and share lunch with the entire URV community. You can also bring your own food.

Food trucks will be available all day. Please note that bringing drinks or glass objects into Parc del Francolí is not allowed.

*Cross-contamination may occur.

15:30 - 16:15 h - MUSICAL BINGO

The 750 bingo cards will be given out with drinks at the bar until all numbers run out.

The prizes for the t-shirt slogan contest will also be awarded.

15:30 - 17:00 h - FAIR AREA

Get ready to pedal to the beat! Join the spinning masterclass and enjoy an energy-packed session, open to the entire URV community.

16:00 - 18:00 h - 3X3 BASKETBALL COMPETITION

Do you like playing basketball? Don't miss the chance to participate in this mixed tournament open to the entire URV community.

Remember that it is essential to register before the day of the Festival through the link at the top of this page.

16:30 - 18:00 h - GOT TALENT

Do you have a special talent? Share it!

Tell us what you can do and perform at the URV Festa Major.

Each performance will last 5 minutes. The winner will be chosen based on jury evaluations (50%) and public votes (50%).Prizes will be awarded at 6:00 PM.

17:15 - 19:00 h - GAMES AREA

Have fun with traditional and modern games-plus a few surprises from URV!

18:15 - 20:00 h - DJ CONTEST

Is music your passion? Do you love making people dance and have a great time?

Don't miss the chance to DJ at the URV Festival.

Each performance will last 25 minutes. The best DJ set will be chosen based on the evaluations of a jury and a public vote, each carrying 50% weight.

The winner will perform at the URV Festival 2026!

At the end of the event, prizes will be awarded for this competition, the Got Talent contest, and the 3x3 basketball tournament.

20:00 - 23:00 h - FLASHY ICE CREAM CONCERT & DJ ANNA GISBERT

The Catalan band Flashy Ice Cream, formed in 2017 by Sneaky Flex, Giancana, and Daax, will bring their signature urban sound, blending trap, reggaeton, and R&B. With melodic beats and catchy rhythms, they have made a name for themselves in the Catalan music scene. A fresh and innovative proposal that won’t leave you indifferent!

 

The night will close with DJ Anna Gisbert, who will deliver an eclectic set combining mainstream hits with alternative music. With a unique sound and identity, she creates a dynamic and fresh atmosphere for an inclusive and fun party. Born in Barcelona in 2000, Anna Gisbert is a resident DJ at Be Disco and has performed at Share Festival.

FAQ

Event Access

When first entering the venue, you must show the QR code from your ticket. After this, you will receive a wristband that allows you to enter and exit freely without needing to scan the QR code again.

Can I buy a ticket on the day of the event?

There will be no tickets sold on the day of the festival. We encourage you to buy your ticket as soon as possible.

Lunch

To order the paella or fideuà, you will need to scan the same QR code from your ticket, as long as you have purchased a meal ticket. Therefore, once you have entered the venue, do not delete your ticket.

I don't like paella or fideuà. Is there an alternative?

Yes! Food trucks will be available at the venue. You can also bring your own food.

Can I bring my own food?

Yes, but you cannot bring glass objects into Parc del Francolí.

Can I bring my own drinks?

No. Only drinks purchased inside the Festa Major venue are allowed. Drinks will be served exclusively in the official festival cup. Free water will be available.

I bought a ticket—can I leave and come back?

Yes! As long as your wristband is intact, you can re-enter freely.

How does the T-shirt contest work?

Those who want to participate can sign up by accessing the link at the top of the page. You can print the t-shirts or make them with paint or markers. The most important thing is creativity and wordplay! Wit has a prize!

Groups or collectives are welcome to join, including students, staff, faculty, researchers, and teachers...
