URV Festival
Don't miss the URV Festival! On 14 March the whole university community is invited to a party in the Parc de la Ciutat in Tarragona to enjoy a wide variety of activities: an open-air lunch of paella, concerts, a talent show, a DJ contest, bingo, a T-shirt competition, food trucks, stalls, and much more. A really fun day!

Buses leave from the following campuses: Terres de l'Ebre, Baix Penedès, Vilafranca del Penedès, Vila-seca and Bellissens.
Buses arrive in Avinguda Ramon i Cajal (main entrance to the park).

The xaranga band Pujats de To will welcome us to the URV Festival. There will be music and fun throughout the Parc de la Ciutat encouraging the university community to take part in this special day. Join us!

13:00 h - HUMAN PILLAR BY THE PATAQUERS + CHINESE DRAGON
Human pillar to celebrate the Festival by the URV's team of human-tower builders.
Dance of the Chinese dragon by the URV's Chinese community.
13:30 h - SPEECHES
Main stage
Institutional speeches by Josep Pallarés Marzal, rector of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, and Rubén Viñuales Elías, mayor of Tarragona
13:40 h - PD PETING
The Tarragona DJ duo PD Peting will enliven the afternoon with electronic and danceable rhythms. They promise us a time of revelry and a show with the best music, don't miss it!
13:45 - 14:45 h - LUNCH IN THE OPEN AIR: FIDEUADA/PAELLA
Enjoy a tasty dish of traditional fideuada (fish noodles) or vegan paella for lunch with the whole of the URV community. Stand-up lunch.
You can also bring your own food.
In the evening, there will be food trucks. Keep in mind that you cannot bring drinks or glass objects into the Park de la Ciutat.
15:30 h - BINGO
Stage 2
The bingo cards will be handed out with drinks at the bar.

Have you got a special talent? Why don't you share it?
Tell us what you can do and perform at the URV Festival.
Each performance will last five minutes. The best open mic performance will be decided by a jury and a popular vote, which will be 50% each. The prizes will be given at 18.00.
Performers must register beforehand.

17:45 h - DJ CONTEST
Stage 2
Are you passionate about music? Do you like getting people up on the dance floor and enjoying themselves?
Don't miss your chance to DJ at the URV Festival.
Each performance will last 25 minutes. The best DJ session will be decided by a jury and a popular vote, which will be 50% each. The prizes will be given at 19.30.
DJs must register beforehand.
The winner will perform at the URV 2025 Festival!

18:10 h - CONCERT BY TREMENDA JAURÍA

The group Tremenda Jauría will be the first act on the Festival's main stage. Formed in 2016 by Mc Chucho, Mc Machete, Mc Larrata and Ganga DJ this group from Madrid will perform their Latin rhythms and "electronic cumbia". They fuse cumbia-punk, rap, combative reggaeton and electronic music, with obvious features of Latin-American music. Undoubtedly, a highly individual act that will leave no one indifferent! |

19:45 h - CONCERT BY LES QUE FALTABAND

Next on are the Les Que Faltaband, a cover band formed in 2020 by eight women, who put on a powerful, aggressive show combining music, dance and other art forms. As their name suggests, the Les Que Faltaband give voice and visibility to women on stage. The band performs a wholly feminine set with almost two hours packed with hits from Latin music, the pop-rock of the 80s and contemporary sounds. The dancing just goes on and on! |

21:30 - DJ TRAPELLA

The Festival will be brought to an end by DJ Trapella with his eclectic blend of current hits and more alternative music in a dynamic, fresh and surprising set. His performances have their very own sound and identity thanks to his unique formula: mixing a wide range of musical styles live, which covers the tastes of the whole audience so no one is indifferent to the varied, versatile and fun party atmosphere.

Access to the Party
The first time you access the site, you will need to show the QR code of the entrance. Once done, you will have a wristband that will allow you to enter and exit without the need for the QR code.
If I haven't bought a ticket, can I buy it on the same day?
Only if all tickets have not been sold out, which are limited. We invite you to buy the ticket as soon as possible.
Popular lunch
To order the paella or the fideuada, it will be necessary to scan the same QR from the entrance whenever a lunch ticket has been purchased. Therefore, once you have accessed the premises do not delete your entry.
I don't like paella or fideuada. Is there any alternative?
In the premises you will find foodrucks. You can also bring food from home.
Can I bring food?
Yes, you can bring some. Please note that you cannot bring glass objects into the City Park.
Can I bring drinks?
No. You can only consume the drink purchased inside the Festa Major. Water will be available to everyone.
I have purchased a ticket, can I exit and re-enter?
Yes. As long as the wristband is in good condition, you will be able to enter and leave the premises.
How does the t-shirt contest work?
People who want to participate can sign up on the same day of the Festa Major at the URV marquee, until 1 p.m. You can print the shirts or make them yourself with paint or markers. The most important thing is creativity and wordplay!
After the success of last year's t-shirts with educational slogans, the organization of the party encourages to keep the fun. That's why this time the ingenuity has a prize!
Any groups or collectives can participate, both students and employees, civil servants, researchers, teachers...
