Primary and secondary school teachers
We want to be a point of reference in your teaching work and to help you discover how the university can contribute to your students' development and to your own professional growth.
The Universitat Rovira i Virgili offers this space to primary and secondary school teachers so they can connect with the university and access resources that will enrich their teaching. Here you will find information on training activities, collaborative projects, scientific dissemination programmes, and tools and materials designed to facilitate the connection between school and university education.
Guidance, information and promotion
Presentations at secondary schools
The URV arranges visits to secondary schools to present the university, the degrees it offers, and the other services and elements that go to make the URV a quality teaching and research institution. We also answer any questions that students may have in relation to university studies.
Last year, the URV's careers guidance officers and students gave more than 160 presentations at schools in the areas of Tarragona, Lleida, Barcelona, Castelló and the Balearic Islands.
Who makes these presentations?
Careers guidance officers from the Student Office and students from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
How can we get the URV to visit us?
- Complete this application form with your suggestions for four or five dates for the presentation and send it to us at orientacio@urv.cat.
- Groups should not exceed 40 students. This makes it easier for all present to concentrate and be able to talk comfortably about their future. You can ask for more than one presentation; for example, you can ask for presentations for two, three or however many groups you think necessary.
- We will confirm one of the proposed dates in an email to the address from where you sent us your proposal.
- One or two weeks before the date, we will send you a link so that your students can answer a short survey about their interests (degrees and university services). On the day of the presentation, we will comment on the results.
- On the day of the presentation, we will need a computer connected to the internet, a projector and an audio system.
Tutoring of research or course work (URVocació)
URVocació is the URV's response to secondary schools' requests for collaboration in tutoring the research or course work carried out by students at upper secondary school or vocational training level.
URVocació offers two complementary lines of collaboration for secondary schools:
- Consultation of the CRAI's bibliographic collection
- Co-tutoring of research/course work
- Co-tutoring of assignments related to human tower building
Consultation of the CRAI's bibliographic collection
In order to carry out their research/course work, high school students can consult the documentary collection of the URV's Learning and Research Resources Centre (CRAI). To do so, the secondary school must fill out an application form and send it by email to orientacio@urv.cat
Once the application has been processed, students will receive an email with instructions on how to register individually.
The student, once registered, will have to:
- Check which CRAI they need to go to (according to the subject of the research assignment they are doing).
- Contact the CRAI
- Identify themselves at the user point
- Access and consult the CRAI's resources
Secondary school and higher education students who access the URV's CRAI will be considered temporary users. The lecturer in charge will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the conditions of use that are established in the Regulations for the organisation and operation of the CRAI (Catalan).
Application for access to the CRAI (Catalan)
Remember that you can consult the tutorial Look for (and find) information for your research assignment (Catalan)
Co-tutoring of research/course work
- Collaboration in tutoring must be carried out under the auspices of a collaboration agreement (Catalan) in which the URV faculty/school and the secondary school define the aspects of their relationship and can initiate/maintain a legally guaranteed working relationship. This agreement is processed by the University Guidance Office.
- The Faculty/School is not obliged to give a positive response to all the requests that arrive from secondary schools, but it will make every effort to do so and to find the resources required.
