Diéguez Fernández, Montserrat
She received her Ph.D. in Chemistry (1997) at the Rovira i Virgili University (URV) in Tarragona. After she moved to Yale University as postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Crabtree (USA). She returned to the URV and becoming part of the permanent staff in 2002. In 2011 she was promoted to full Professor in Inorganic Chemistry. She is the chair of InnCat research group at URV, succeeding the former chair, Prof. Claver. She has participated in 60 research projects, European and nationals, in the field of organometallics, catalysis and metalloenzymes. She is author of 145 articles and 13 books/book chapters with an H index of 41. She has directed 10 European Ph.D. Thesis (4 with Doctoral Prize). She got the Distinction from the Generalitat de Catalunya in 2004 and in 2008 from the URV. She got the ICREA Academia Prize in 2009-14 and again 2015-20. Her research interests are catalysis, combinatorial synthesis, artificial metalloenzymes and catalytic conversions of renewable feedstocks.
