Llop Llop, Maria
Maria Llop is professor of Economic Theory at the URV. She obtained a degree in Economy at the University of Barcelona (1993). In 2001 she defended her thesis at the URV (Extraordinary Doctorate Award). Her research output includes articles in JCR journals like Ecological Economics, Economic Systems Research, Energy Policy, Water Policy, Water Resources Management, Resource and Energy Economics, etc. and other publications (book chapters and edited books). She has 3 positive research evaluations (sexenios). Maria Llop has been visiting researcher at the Economic and Social Research Institute (Ireland), Dublin Institute of Technology, and Environmental Research Institute-University College of Cork. She has been evaluator for the European Commission (H2020 Projects) and the Spanish Research Agency (National Plan Projects) as well as for a large number of academic journals. She has supervised 3 defended doctoral theses and is the main investigator of national competitive research projects. She has been Secretary of the Department of Economics of the URV (2003-2006), Director of the Research Center in Industrial and Public Economy-CREIP of the URV (2010-2013), Director of the Chair of Energy and Development (2014-2017) and coordinator of the QURE research group (2015-present).
