Salueña Pérez, Clara
Clara Salueña graduated in Physics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1987 and obtained her PhD in Physics in 1993 from the University of Barcelona. He did two postdoctoral stays, of two years each, at the University of Chicago and at the Humboldt Universität, in Berlin, working on damping properties and hydrodynamic modelling of granular dense matter. She is currently associate professor at the University of Fluid Mechanics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the URV. She is part of the consolidated research group Experimentation, Computation and Modelling in Fluid Mechanics and Turbulence. Her research focuses on the study of the behaviour of granular fluids. In the last 10 years she has co-authored 9 publications in journals (JCR) in the field of Fluid Mechanics, Transport Phenomena and Physics, of which 6 in Q1 journals (67%). She has also participated into 11 communications to international conferences. She is also co-author of two patents, filed in Germany and the United States, respectively. She has four sexennia of research recognized. She has directed four doctoral theses in the last 10 years, and currently supervises other two doctoral students.
