I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona. My master and PhD degree were focused on the numerical and experimental study of flow structures in a cavity model that contains a plate of integrated circuits (PCB, Printed Circuit Board). The PhD degree was obtained in 2012 in Universitat Rovira I Virgili. I did a research stay in 2015 in GMFC-IMFIA, Universidad de la República where I collaborated in the advancement of the application of the model numeric caffa3d.MB to simulate the interaction between fluid and moving mechanisms. I have participated in the experimental study of flows confined with chemical reaction and in the numerical study of turbulent flows in the chamber of suction of a gear pump. I am currently dedicated in the production and characterization of alginate particles for visualization of fluids and the experimental study of the deposition of magnetic bead on the wall of microchannels. The next step is the study of the interaction between magnetic beads and particles of the different sizes and materials (alginate or plastic particles) and how the interaction affects the behaviour of the deposition on the wall of microchannels.
Project: Numerical simulations and experimental study of multiphase flows in a bubble column reactors (reference: 2020MFP-COFUND-7)
