Yanes Torrado, Óscar 

Oscar Yanes (Barcelona, 1977) received his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry (2006) from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. In 2007 he became Research Associate at the Scripps Center for Metabolomics (Scripps Research, La Jolla, USA) headed by Dr. Gary Siuzdak. Since 2011 he coordinates the Metabolomics Platform of the URV-IISPV and CIBER of Diabetes and Associated Metabolic Diseases (CIBERDEM), he is affiliated member at the IRB Barcelona and Assistant Professor at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili where he is co-leading the MIL@ab (2017SGR1119).
He has long experience in developing new technologies and methods, computational tools and applications in LC-MS, GC-MS and NMR-based metabolomics. With >70 publications and >5.000 citations, his research  focuses on understanding metabolic dysregulations in disease through integrating mass spectrometry and NMR-based technologies with other omic platforms.
