2023 - WORKSHOP ON ECO-INNOVATION, CIRCULAR ECONOMY, AND FIRM PERFORMANCE
AIM
The climate emergency requires a significant reorientation on the way that citizens, firms, and governments interact with the environment, and this depends to a large extent on the promotion of new disruptive technologies, the implementation of eco-innovations and new circular business models. In this IV Workshop on Eco-Innovation, Circular Economy and Firm Performance, we analyse the challenges, barriers and drivers of sustainable innovations from a micro perspective. Keeping the spirit of previous years, the Workshop will offer a platform for debate and discussion of the opportunities and challenges for the achievement of a green and sustainable economy.

2019 – WORKSHOP D'INNOVACIÓ I RENDIMENT DE L'EMPRESA
AIM
The main actor of innovation is the firm. First, innovative firms bring the scientific progress generated in universities and public research centers to the marketplace. Second, they take on the risks inherent in transforming scientific knowledge into financial returns. In this III Workshop on Innovation and Firm Performance, we analyze the challenges, barriers and drivers of innovative firms from a micro perspective. The many new data sources that have become available since the 1990s facilitate us in addressing the determinants and the challenges of innovation at the firm level. Additionally, a wide range of analytical frameworks including evolutionary economics, structural models, and even the theories about the internal resources of the company, allows us to address these factors from multiple perspectives.

2017 – WORKSHOP DE REPTES DE LA POLÍTICA D'INNOVACIÓ
AIM
The number of contributions which cope with the innovation issues has increased significantly during the last years. The availability to the access of International databases and their detailed information have facilitated this larger interest. However, the socioeconomic dynamics imply that this phenomenon must widen its focus in order to facilitate the decision of key agents (in particular firms, policymakers, universities and public agencies). The workshop has a double aim. On the one hand, morning sessions will cope with new issues about the European innovation policy. On the other hand, in the afternoon we aim
to establish technical challenges that researchers face up when adopting an empirical approach.
