ACCESS TO THE MASTER'S DEGREE IN GENERAL HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY WITH A FOREIGN UNIVERSITY DEGREE IN PSYCHOLOGY

  • ITEM: Following the entry into force of Organic Law 2/2023, of 22 March, paragraph a) of section 3 of the seventh additional provision of General Law 33/2011, of 4 October, on Public Health states that: "The degree in Psychology will not, in itself, enable the holder to practice psychology in the health sector, but rather it will constitute a necessary requirement for access to the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology, as will any other official foreign university degree in Psychology that complies with the requirements established in Order CNU/1309/2018, of 5 December, which regulates the general conditions to which the syllabuses of the Bachelor's Degree in Psychology will be adjusted, in particular with regard to compulsory subjects related to Health Psychology".

The application of the above provision to foreign official university degrees establishes that graduates in Psychology in foreign educational systems can access the Master's Degree in General Health Psychology.

These students need to accredit that their training meets the requirements established in Order CNU/1309/2018, of 5 December, which in particular includes at least 90 ECTS credits of compulsory subjects related to Health Psychology.
