Admission
The Interuniversity Master's Degree in Biomedical Data Science is aimed at graduates with scientific and technical qualification related to bioinformatics, science, and engineering who seek to specialize in data science in the field of health. Specifically, it is aimed at graduates in physics, statistics, bioinformatics, mathematics, computer science, biomedical engineering, and other related engineering.
In addition, other candidates' requirements are:
- English competence (certify B2 level certificate or equivalent)

The necessary digital competence to properly handle virtual training

A strong mathematical grounding and good programming skills
Candidates are also expected to have the following soft skills:

Ability to work autonomously

Ability to search in different sources of information

Good communication skills and the capacity to formulate and communicate complex ideas

Specific documentation required
To be admitted onto the programme, in addition to the compulsory general documentation needed for a master's programme, you must submit:

Certification of English level B2 or equivalent (if you do not have this certificate, the admissions committee may decide to assess your level of English)

Certification of your indexed publications

Certification of participation in research projects

Certification of any complementary training

Certification of your professional experience
Selection criteria
In the event that there are not enough places, candidates will be prioritised according to the total score obtained from the following criteria:

Academic record for the bachelor's degree that enables access to the master's degree: up to 10 points

suitability of the candidate: up to 6 points

Holding a degree in data science or related fields in addition to the degree that provides access (i. e., engineering degree or diploma, bachelor's degree, master's degree, postgraduate degree or doctorate): up to 2 points

Having publications in indexed journals and participation in competitive projects: up to 2 points

Having completed training that is complementary to the master's content (courses, seminars, or other training activities, duly certified): up to 2 points

Professional experience in Data Science or any field related to the master's content: up to 2 points
If the initial number of places offered (50) is not covered the academic coordinators will admit all candidates who meet the admission criteria.
