University Master's Degree in Energy Conversion Systems and Technologies - 6th edition
Admission
The master's degree is open to graduates and holders of other university qualifications in the fields of Physics, Energy, Chemistry, Industrial Mechanics, Agri-food, Civil Engineering, Aerospace, Naval Studies, Environmental Engineering, Automation and related ambits in which the student has received basic training in thermodynamics and heat transfer.
Specific documentation
In addition to the general documentation required for pre-registration, applicants to the master's degree must also present:
- A certificate confirming that they have a minimum level of English (B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or equivalent). Applicants that cannot accredit this level will be interviewed by the master's degree coordinator to determine their ability to read, write and understand English before they are admitted.
Applicants may also present:
- Accreditation of complementary training relating to the content of the master's degree, such as courses, seminars or other training activities and professional experience.
- Accreditation of study visits (minimum of 12 weeks), letters of recommendation, among others.
Selection criteria
Applicants will be selected on the basis of the following criteria:
- Suitability of the qualification: up to a maximum of 30 of points in accordance with the following order:
- Degrees in Engineering and Architecture: maximum of 30 points,
- Degrees in the Sciences, maximum of 25 points,
- Others: No points.
- Evaluation of the academic transcript for the official university qualification that allows access to the master's degree and of the awarding university: up to a maximum of 40 points:
a. Average grade for academic transcript between 9.1 and 10: 40 points.
b. Average grade for academic transcript between 7.1 and 9: 30 points.
c. Average grade for academic transcript between 6.1 and 7: 20 points.
d. Average grade for academic transcript between 5 and 6: 0 points.
- Level of English above the minimum requirement (B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or equivalent): up to a maximum of 10 points.
- Complementary training and professional experience related to the contents of the master's degree (courses, seminars or other training activities, accredited with the appropriate documentation): up to a maximum of 10 points.
- Other relevant criteria such as study visits (of at least 12 weeks and accredited with the appropriate documentation), motivation, letter of recommendation, personal interview: up to a maximum of 10 points.
In the event that the number of applicants does not exceed the number of places, and provided that each applicant meets the admission requirements, the selection committee may decide to admit applicants without prioritising them according to the merits.
