“My experience with the Master’s was extremely positive. I had taken a three-year degree in Tourism at the URV in Vila-seca but needed to refresh certain concepts and bring myself up to date with the new trends in tourism. The tourism sector is both resilient and constantly changing and if you want to be well prepared to work in the tourism sector, you need to keep up to date with the technological innovations and new initiatives. I would recommend this Master’s degree to anyone because it teaches the new key concepts we all need so that we can develop our professional careers effectively. What encouraged me to enrol on this Master’s was the fact that, being an official qualification, it would add prestige to my CV. Other key factors behind my decision were the hybrid methodology (part online and part face-to-face), my confidence in the URV Faculty of Tourism, the professionalism shown by the academic staff, and the Faculty’s close relationships with Eurecat and the Costa Daurada tourism sector. I’ve been working in the tourism sector for many years now. In fact, I was able to combine my studies on the Master’s with my position at the Tarragona Provincial Council Tourism Board, where I am still working and currently developing a project on tourism innovation.”

Tourism technician at the city council of Montblanc
“My experience on this Master’s was extremely positive. I decided to enrol on it after completing my degree in Tourism at the URV. The Master’s gave me the opportunity to further my knowledge of destinations management and begin to develop my professional career. I chose to specialise in destinations marketing and branding because I was really passionate about the subject. All the concepts and practice I gained on my courses have really helped me to expand my knowledge in this area. They have also helped me to further my knowledge and raise my awareness of the sustainability that tourism must promote in the future. Nor can I forget the most personal part of this Master’s as I’ve been able to get to know people from all over and enjoy the numerous cultures and ways of understanding the world that coexist on this programme! So far I’ve been working in the tourism department at Montblanc town hall, which is the body responsible for managing and promoting tourism both in the town and the neighbouring villages of the Conca de Barberà.”
