The fundamental research conducted in the FiCMA laboratories is based on the development of innovative strategies for the synthesis of new materials; thus, we are contributing to scientific knowledge in the materials field. Characterization of the obtained materials is also an objective of FiCMA.

The applied research uses the combined knowledge of our researchers, PhD students and technicians support to design and develop new solid-state devices, with special attention in the optics and photonics field.
